Therefore, practice today is canceled and we will resume this week's schedule tomorrow (hopefully!) 

7th and 8th Grade Players Only: Practices are from 3:30pm until 5:00pm at Elizabeth Haddon Elementary School. Please bring all equipment (shinguards, stick, mouthguard, a water bottle, sneakers and cleats!) There is NO bathroom access at the field. All athletes must be fully cleared to participate in practice.

This information is for players in the 7th and 8th grade ONLY

With the Fall 2023 season quickly approaching - please have all players FULLY registered. Players cannot participate in any practices or games without having all of the necessary paperwork completed and reviewed by school personnel. Questions regarding medical sports forms should be addressed to the School Nurse, Mrs. Barranger ( mbarranger@haddonfield.k12.nj.us ) The first practice of the season will be THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH starting at 3:30PM until 5:00pm. There is NO access to the school. Players will need to change, fill water bottles, etc. before arriving. Practices and Home games will be held at Elizabeth Haddon Elementary School. On Monday, September 11th team uniforms will be distributed. Practice time and location will continue throughout the season with the exception of the following dates when there will be NO practice: September 15th (Rosh Hashanah) and September 25th (Yom Kippur.)

Similar to last season, the game schedule will be divided among the BLACK and the RED teams. Team assignments will be posted to the website for players to view by September 12th. This will help to ensure that players will receive as much playing time as possible, as well as, make sure that players will play in the safest game environment. At this time, when one team has a game - the other team will have the day off.

Bus Transportation: If you are planning on picking up your athlete from an away game, please have a written permission note with your signature and date. This permission slip needs to be handed in BEFORE we leave HMS for the game. We will leave promptly at 3:00pm from the Middle School for away games (meet at the flagpole.)

Make sure that you bring your stick, shinguards (plain black for home games and plain white for away games), cleats, mouthguard, and water to every game and practice! Jewelry of any kind is prohibited on the field. Goggles are optional.

Online registration for high school (9-12 grades) and middle school (6-8 grades) sports for the Fall 2023 season will open in early July. Additional communication will follow.

In the meantime, in order to be medically eligible for sports:

• Have your healthcare provider complete the Pre-Participation Sports Physical Forms. This is multiple pages. Vision must be completed by your doctor so check the forms before leaving your doctor’s office. Any heart rate over 100 beats under 55 beats per minute will also need to be rechecked and explained by your doctor so please look over the forms to prevent delay in approval to start sports at school. (incomplete physicals will be returned),

• Parent/Guardian completes the Health History ( if you answer yes to any questions- an explanation is needed to approve the physical) and emergency contacts, then your child’s Healthcare Provider fills out the rest.

• When completed, make a copy for yourself, and then turn in the original hard copy to the Nurse's School office. Do NOT scan/email. Please mail or drop off hard copies!

• Physicals need to be on the Pre-Participation sports forms, no other physical forms are valid for sports in NJ schools.

• Please call your healthcare provider for appointments well in advance to prevent delays in starting practices. The physical is good for 365 days from the date of the actual physical.

• If you have a valid physical (which does not expire before the first official sports practice) on file with the school nurse, you do not need to complete the Health History Questionnaire. You will complete it electronically during the registration in Genesis.

Your athlete CANNOT participate until everything is reviewed and cleared.
