Boys Varsity Soccer - 7 Time New Jersey State Champions
This special award is bestowed annually to a player that has embodied traits of humility, compassion, and leadership through the game of soccer during his HMHS Boys Soccer career. Thomas "Chip" Dickson was a longtime Haddonfield Soccer Coach who enjoyed two successful stints as an assistant coach within the Boys Soccer Program over a nearly two-decade span. He also served the Borough as a Little League, Haddonfield Soccer Club, and HMHS baseball coach during that time. Despite his diagnosis of ALS, Chip remained a regular fixture on the sidelines at HMHS Boys varsity soccer games and maintained a positive attitude and outlook on life despite the challenges he faced on a daily basis after his diagnosis. Chip will forever remain in the memory and hearts of those he touched through his involvement in youth and high school sports.
"The Legacy of Heroes is the memory of a great name and the inheritance of a great example."
