Bob Misita (1979) - Hall of Fame Class of 2013
Bob earned three varsity letters in wrestling and was captain of the team his senior year at HMHS. He compiled an overall record of 60-11while achieving several honors along the way. His sophomore year, Bob placed third in the districts. He was undefeated his junior year at 18-0, was second team All SJ, and led the team with 14 pins. He was second in districts and second in regions that year. He was voted the Lenape Tournament’s Most-Outstanding Wrestler. Senior year, he was first team All SJ, led the team with 12 pins, and repeated as the Lenape Tournament Most-Outstanding-Wrestler. He was the District 28 Champion and Regional Champ. He also reached the final in the state tournament. He was a two-time Trenton Open champion, the USWF South champion, and Philadelphia Amateur Wrestling Open Champion.
Bob wrestled in college at the University of Georgia for one year. After UGA dropped their wrestling program, he transferred to Ohio State on a wrestling scholarship. His overall college record was 71-34. He placed in several tournaments while at OSU. He was a student assistant coach for one year at Ohio State. He continues to coach high school wrestlers in his community of Cumming, GA.
