Scott Knecht (1980) - Hall of Fame Class of 2013

Scott was a three varsity letter winner in basketball and track at HMHS.  He was All Colonial Conference and All Group 2 in track 1978-1980.  He also was selected All South Jersey all groups first team in 1979 and second team in 1980 for the high jump.  He set the Haddonfield record for the high jump at 6’10” in 1979 and he placed second in the state that same year.  As a basketball player Scott also excelled, being selected All Colonial Conference first team, All Group 2 second team, and the Suburban Newspaper All Star Team.  Scott played attended Gloucester County College where he played basketball.  GCC was in the National Junior College Championships in 1981, his freshman year.  In 1981 he was named second team All Garden State Conference and second team All-Region.
