Boys Freshman Soccer

Coaches

Jason Kahan.

Assistant Coach

Biography:

Alma Mater: Cherry Hill West (2018), Stevenson University (2022)

Coach Jason Kahan returns to lead the Haddonfield Freshmen Boys Soccer Team during 2023.

Coach Kahan has provided great mentorship for our first-year program level teams since his first season as the Freshmen Coach in 2022.  In late February 2024, Coach Kahan was hired by the Gloucester County Institute of Technology (GCIT) to lead their Boys Volleyball program as the program's Head Coach during the spring season.

An accomplished soccer player at club, high school, and collegiate levels, Coach Kahan was a proven winner and well-respected player in South Jersey by his teammates and opponents alike.  His competitive playing highlights included winning four varsity letters at his alma mater, Cherry Hill High School West from 2015-2018 as well as appearing in over 50 career NCAA Division III collegiate games for Stevenson University (MD).

While a high school soccer player at Cherry Hill West under Head Coach Dan Butler, Coach Kahan won the SJSCA Coaches Cup during his junior season in 2016 on a squad that posted a 20-3 overall record; one of the finest seasons in school history.  In addition, following his senior season of action for the Lions in 2017, Kahan was selected as an SJSCA All-South Jersey First Team honoree as well as the Coaches' Association's Defender of the Year as voted on by the coaches; South Jersey's highest honor for a high school player at his respective position.  During his run with the Stevenson University Mustangs under Head Coach Graeme Millar, Kahan made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2018 by starting in all but one contest that season.  Over the course of his four year career at the university, he helped to turn the program around and into one of the most formidable in the Mid-Atlantic Conference (MAC).  As a freshman, the team won its first MAC postseason game in eight years and then went on to achieve the same feat in every following season that he remained on the roster.

Coach Kahan will lend his knowledge and competitiveness to the freshmen squad as their head coach well as assist at all levels of the program.
