Unfortunately, West Deptford has informed our AD that there will be only ONE boys basketball game today at West Deptford.  There is no second game or practice today for the BLACK team. The RED team game will being at 3:45.  More information can be found at http://haddonfieldathletics.org/.

Since this is our first away game, I want to let you know of two rules for away games

1. ??All players must take the school bus that depart from our Middle School to our opponents gym
2. If you would like to bring your son home after the away game, you and your son must quickly check in with me after the game so I know you have responsibility for your son's transportation and safety.

There are two games. Red game starts at 4.   Black game starts afterward.

THE BUS WILL LEAVE AT 3:00 at the Main entrance near the auditorium and flagpole. Be dressed at ready at 3. Have seats and a hoodie/coat over your uniform. It will be cold on Friday.

RED TEAM: you may go with your parents after the game provided I meet your parents after the game and they confirm to me they are taking you home. 

Parents and players,

Please be advised that all players must travel to our away games and arrive by the school bus.

Safety and security are the primary reasons.  First, many schools have locked doors or do not provide direct gym access.  I do not want to put our players in a position of having difficulty getting inside an unfamiliar school.  And I do not want our opponents' students or faculty to handle multiple one-off requests for entry. Also, I want to provide my best effort possible to monitor our players at another school.  I'm unable to that if players arrive at different times at different entrances while I am coaching. Thank you for your understanding

In regards to transportation home, I appreciate the many parents who check in with me at the end of the game to let me know you are assuming responsibility for your child.  Please continue to do that.

There is a high school basketball game at our Middle School today.  The gym is unavailable to us.  Today's practice is canceled.  There will be a short meeting instead which should last until about 3:30.

Tuesday Jan 17 - Away games versus Haddon Township. Read and Black team have games. As a reminder, you must take the bus to away games.

The first practice is scheduled for 3:30 at the All Purpose Room (APR). We will start with a meeting of all players. Practice will start after the meeting and be over at 6 PM. Please note the different start times and location for the week.

Welcome!  My name is Mike Prevoznak and I am glad to be back as the Boys Middle School basketball coach. I can be reached at mprevoznak@haddonfield.k12.nj.us.  Frank Trautz will be the assistant basketball coach.

We have a great level of interest from our 7th and 8th graders.  Over forty 7th and 8th grade boys want to play. Because of the high number of 7th and 8th grade boys, we unfortunately will not have any 6th grade boys participating.

There will be two teams representing our school colors:  Red and Black.  There will be 7th and 8th graders on both teams. 

We will have a pre-season meeting with all players on Wednesday, November 16 at 3:00 at the Middle School Gym.  We will stress the importance of completing and returning all forms. Players can not practice or play until they do. We will discuss our philosophy and expectations, and try to set players' expectations as well.

The first practice will be on or about December 5.  Practice times will alternate daily since we share the gym with the girls' team. Practices will generally be from 3 PM to 4:45 one day; the next day 4:30 to 6 pm the next day, and so on.  There are no required or formal practices over the winter holiday break. But I will try to get the gym for a couple of optional shoot-around days for boys who do not have family plans.

The season starts on December 16.  Both teams are scheduled to play.  When reading the schedule, if there is only one game listed, that game will be the Red team only.
