We just received notice that the BLACK and RED #2 team AWAY games vs. Williamstown today (10/12) have been CANCELLED. They will not be rescheduled due to Williamstown's schedule. There will be practice today at Elizabeth Haddon Elementary School after school (3:15pm - 4:45pm) for ALL teams.

Haddon Township has decided to POSTPONE the scheduled away game today due to the condition of the field.

There will be NO practice today - it is strongly encouraged that all players attend the Varsity team's home game vs. Haddon Township beginning at 4:00pm at the Haddonfield Memorial High School Stadium Field.

Please note that there is NO practice tomorrow (Wednesday 9/19) due to the holiday. The AWAY games on Thursday (9/20) have just been cancelled, so there will now be practice for all teams on Thursday AND Friday at Elizabeth Haddon Elementary School from 3:15 - 4:45pm.

The 2018 Field Hockey Season is here! 

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any updates regarding the 6th grade field hockey program. This news only pertains for players in 7th and 8th grade.

If it rains (as predicted) this week - please check the website for practice/game updates. I will post by 12:00pm if we have to cancel.

Monday 9/10 - No practice

Tuesday 9/11 - Practice from 3:15pm to 4:45pm. Please wear the reversible HYFH shirt IF you do not play for HYFH bring a black and white shirt. Shinguards, goggles, and mouthpiece are required.

Wednesday 9/12 -  Practice from 3:15pm to 4:45pm. Please wear the reversible HYFH shirt IF you do not play for HYFH bring a black and white shirt. Shinguards, goggles, and mouthpiece are required. Uniforms will be given out. If you did not return last year's uniform - a new one will NOT be provided. 

Thursday 9/13 - BLACK TEAM ONLY will have a game vs. West Deptford. This is a HOME game (Elizabeth Haddon Elementary School field.) The game begins at 4:00pm - players must arrive by 3:15pm. HOME games are white jersey and plain white shinguards. The RED TEAM has OFF. 

Friday 9/14 - BLACK TEAM ONLY will have a game vs. Haddon Heights. This is an AWAY game. The game will begin at 4:00pm - players must be ready to board the bus by 3:00pm at the Middle School. AWAY games are black jersey and plain black shinguards. The RED TEAM has OFF.

Similar to last season, the game schedule will be divided among the BLACK and the RED team. Team assignments will be provided to the players on September 12th when they receive their uniform. This will help to ensure that players will receive as much playing time as possible, as well as, make sure that players will play in the safest game environment. At this time, an additional coach has not been secured, so when one team has a game - the other team will have the day off. The breakdown of the schedule is as follows:

With one month left until the Fall 2018 season begins - please have all players FULLY registered. Players cannot participate in any practices or games without having all of the necessary paperwork completed and reviewed by school personnel.

The first practice of the season will be TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11th starting at 3:15 until 4:45pm. Practices AND Home games will be held at Elizabeth Haddon Elementary School. On September 12, 2018 team uniforms will be distributed. If last year’s uniform was not returned – a new uniform will not be issued.  

Practice time and location will continue throughout the season with the exception of the following dates:

October 8, 2018 - No practice

Bus Transportation: If you are planning on picking up your athlete from an away game, please have a written permission note with your signature and date. This permission slip needs to be given to the coach BEFORE we leave HMS for the game. We will leave promptly at 3:00pm from the Middle School for away games. 

Absent from game or practice: If you are absent from practice the day before a game - you will not be able to play in that game.

Make sure that you bring your stick, goggles, shinguards (black for home games and white for away games), cleats, mouthguard, and water to every game and practice! Jewelry of any kind is prohibited on the field.

Please have the following completed and submitted by TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11th - your athlete CANNOT participate until everything is reviewed and cleared: Online registration for high school and middle school sports for the 2018-2019 school year is open. Please direct parents to: https://goo.gl/forms/izWlSYhjSVdWtJlE3 in order to complete the registration. Actual hard copies of the Medical Forms need to be submitted directly to the HS or MS Nurse. Forms can be accessed through the registration form. Online registration, ImPact Concussion testing (HS only), and medical clearance must be completed in advance of the actual first practice to avoid delays in participation.
