Ryan Frantz

Varsity Assistant Coach / Head Goalkeeping Coach

Cherokee '08 / Widener University (PA) '12

Coach Ryan Frantz rejoins the HMHS Boys Soccer Staff for his second season in 2016 as the program’s Head Goalkeeping Coach and will also assume the Varsity Assistant role.

In 2015, Coach Frantz was responsible for managing all aspects of goalkeeper preparation within the program.  As a result, some of the strongest goalkeeping in the history of Haddonfield Soccer was put on display.  Varsity starter and senior Captain Jon Baxter played brilliantly all season long and posted a superb 0.44 goals against average along with 14 shutouts in 19 games played.  All told, the Varsity allowed an impressive 8 total goals against as well as a meager 5 goals conceded in conference play.  

 

Aside from his duties as Head Goalkeeping Coach, Frantz also led the Varsity Reserve Team to a stellar 12-1-3 record in during the regular season in 2015.

 

Before moving over to Haddonfield prior to the 2015 season, Coach Frantz spent two years as the Boys Varsity Assistant Coach at Overbrook High School in Pine Hill, New Jersey from 2013 to 2014.

 

Aside from his coaching role(s) at HMHS, Coach Frantz is also the current Director of Goalkeeping for Soccer Development Schools in Deptord, NJ and a Goalkeeping Specialist for the Philadelphia Union Soccer Schools.

 

Prior to starting his coaching career, coach Frantz excelled as a player and was a four year Varsity letter winner goalkeeper at Division III Widener College (PA) as well as a standout starting goalkeeper at his hometown Cherokee High School in Marlton, NJ.

 

Coach Frantz currently teaches at Lenape Regional High School in Medford, NJ.
