Haddonfield captured its first Colonial Conference soccer title since 2012 with a 6-0 win Thursday at conference rival Paulsboro.

Sam DeCencio, Wyatt Dugan, Jack Dugan, Matt Fell, Noah Kamerling, and Jack Roberts scored.

It was the Bulldawgs' 14th shutout this season and 12th in conference play. Haddonfield coach Ryan Nixon attributed a large part of his team's success to its defense - led by seniors Cole Fabbri, Rich Bond, Cole Pollack, and junior Albert Pera.

"They work together seamlessly," said Nixon, who captured his first conference title as head coach. "They fight for each other. We have the character of a team that will go far."

Haddonfield, the fourth-ranked team in South Jersey by The Inquirer, is 16-0-1 overall and 14-0-1 in the league.
